Why Drumming?

Drumming in general has been used by communities around the world for many reasons ranging from communications, healing (for mental stability), identity, and entertainment. Recent research in the therapy fields has shown that drumming or rhythm affects our emotional and physical lives in very positive manners. This is not new in the Eastern cultures specially India where rhythm and music have been directly connected to different energy points in the human body called chakras for thousands of years. Having said this we can agree that drumming can certainly be used a lot more in today’s world where there seems to be many stresses in many forms. The drumming classes offered here are not only to learn better drumming skills but also to be able to connect to our original true spiritual self.  By connecting to our true spritual nature can help us to connect to our society in a healthier manner and to lead healthier lives mentally and physically.
